Alice I. Sand

MADISON/PARDEEVILLE-Alice I. Sand, age 86, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012.

She was born on July 11, 1925, in Fennimore, the daughter of Joseph and Effie Edge. She married Arleis Sand on Aug. 26, 1944, he preceded her in death in 1998. Alice worked for more than 30 years at Oscar Mayer Foods, retiring in 1982.

Alice is survived by her children, Joyce (Bill) King of Pardeeville, John (Pat) Sand of Denver, Colo., Tammy (David) Stiemke of DeForest and Gary (Melissa) Sand of Douglasville, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank Edge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arleis; and nine brothers and sisters.

Memorial Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, with Chaplain Thomas Moe presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
