Alfred H. Albrecht, age 78, of Clyde, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 1, 2012. Alfred was born on July 24, 1933 on the farm in Clyde to Joseph and Anna (Willman) Albrecht. He married the former Joyce King of Richland Center on November 25, 1953. The couple farmed on the Albrecht Farm near Clyde their entire married life. Alfred was a member of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church. Alfred was dedicated to farming and was helping out when he died. He also enjoyed fishing in his early years, mushroom hunting and watching the Packers.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce of Clyde; a daughter, Debbie (Jim) Fouts of Richland Center; a son, Dan of Clyde; his beloved granddaughter, Hailey (Joshua) Nachtigal; a brother, Norbert (Lee) Albrecht of Mazomanie; a sister, Anita Dunston of Sussex; many nieces, nephews and friends and his faithful dog, Mattie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward and his wife Kate and a brother-in-law, Sherman Dunston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church. Fr. Peter Auer will officiate with burial in St. Malachy’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until the time of a Rosary Service at 8:00 P.M. at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville and after Noon on Wednesday at the church.
