Agent says C Scott Wells agrees to deal with Rams

Report: Packers focus of bounty probe in 2007

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The agent for Scott Wells says the free-agent center has agreed to a contract with the St. Louis Rams.

Agent Brian Parker says the longtime Green Bay Packers starter agreed to terms with the Rams on Friday after a free- agent visit there. Parker did not disclose terms of the deal.

Wells will give the Rams a veteran leader on their offensive line. His departure leaves the Packers searching for a replacement, which could come through free agency or the draft.

Wells has been the Packers’ most consistent offensive lineman the past two seasons, and has played a critical role in dictating protections for Aaron Rodgers in one of the league’s most productive offenses. He turned 31 in January.
