Adults, children bound with duct tape during home invasion

Janesville PD response to a disorderly conduct complaint

A group that included adults and children were bound with duct tape during a home invasion and robbery at a home in Janesville Tuesday.

Police said the incident happened around 10 p.m. in the 2300 block of Newman Street when two men armed with handguns broke into a home. Cellphones and a safe were taken.

No one was hurt.

Janesville police said investigators believe the incident was not random.

A 42-year-old resident of the home was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
