Adams County man changes plea in girlfriend’s shooting
Man pled not guilty to shooting girlfriend back in March

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. — A 28-year-old Adams man has changed his plea in his girlfriend’s death to not guilty by reason of insanity.
Coleman Dybul had pleaded not guilty to a reckless homicide charge in March in the shooting death of 27-year-old Toni Voss.
Daily Tribune Media reported he changed his plea Wednesday, and Waushara County Circuit Judge Guy Dutcher ordered a psychiatric evaluation. Dutcher is acting as a substitute judge in the Adams County case. Dybul is due back in court on Aug. 6.
The criminal complaint said Voss was shot when she got up in the night, and Dybul mistook her for an intruder. The former Marine told authorities he served in Afghanistan and the shooting was like being in the Middle East, where he had to kill or be killed.
