Abbrederis out several weeks with rib injury

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Jared Abbrederis would be out several weeks with a rib injury following a breakout game against the Detroit Lions Sunday.

The former Badger caught four passes for 57 yards in the game, including a 32-yard catch that set up the Packers first touchdown Sunday.

Abbrederis has suffered numerous injuries since being selected in the fifth-round of the NFL draft by the Packers last season.

He didn’t play his entire rookie season because of a torn ACL, and he didn’t practice much of this year’s training camp due to concussion symptoms.
