9/11 exhibit makes 1-day stop in Verona

Walk-through mini-museum features artifacts, news, video recordings

VERONA, Wis. — A traveling 9/11 exhibit will be on display for one day at the Verona Public Library Sept. 8.

The exhibit, 9/11 Never Forget, was created by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation as a tribute to all those who sacrificed on Sept. 11, 2001, according to a release. It also educates visitors on the historic events of the day.

The memorial provides interactive education, including artifacts, news and video recordings, and live tours from Fire Department city of New York heroes who were eyewitnesses to the events of 9/11, according to the release.

The foundation’s goal is to bring a similar experience as the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York to the public, organizers said.

The exhibit is mounted in a state-of-the-art expandable semitrailer and serves as walk-through mini-museum, according to the release.

The exhibit will be on display from 1-7 p.m., and it is the exhibit’s only stop in Wisconsin. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
