71 employees to be laid off as Pick ‘n Save in Janesville closes
Store set to close in November

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Dozens of employees will be affected by the closure of a Janesville grocery store, according to a notice Wednesday.
The Pick ‘n Save at 1717 Center Avenue in Janesville will close in early November, the state Department of Workforce Development said. Roundy’s Wisconsin notified the state agency in a letter dated Wednesday that the store would close.
According to the notice, 71 employees will be let go on Nov. 4, but Roundy’s said the employees would be offered employment opportunities at other stores.
DWD said that its Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Area Rapid Response Team will work with the employees to offer rapid response services.
