7 arrested in drug, gun raid in Beloit

Seven people were arrested Thursday during a drug and gun investigation in Beloit involving federal authorities.
The Beloit Police Department, Rock County Sheriff’s Office, FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office are involved in the investigation aimed at gangs and drug activity in the city.
Different tactical units targeted at least two locations in Beloit and searches were conducted at the arrest locations, according to a release from Beloit police. The operation was aimed at arresting 10 people.
Law enforcement was out in Beloit 6 a.m. making arrests and collecting evidence.
Four of those arrested are scheduled to appear in federal court Thursday afternoon.
Ceasar Hernandez, 24, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of four counts of distributing cocaine, distributing marijuana, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A criminal complaint said he distributed cocaine on Jan. 27, March 12, April 9 and April 15, and that he distributed marijuana on April 25. The complaint also alleges that on April 15 he possessed a .22-caliber handgun, which he sold to someone working as a confidential informant to law enforcement agents.
If convicted, Hernandez faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each distribution count and 10 years in federal prison on the gun charge.
Llewellyn D. Sams, 36, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of distributing heroin and three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The complain alleges that on March 12 he distributed heroin and possessed a .270-caliber rifle that he sold to an undercover officer. The complaint also alleges that he sold guns to undercover officers on April 6 and April 9.
If convicted, Sams faces 20 years in federal prison on the distribution count and 10 years on each gun charge.
Fabian W. Jones, 33, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of distributing crack cocaine.
The complaint alleges that Jones distributed cocaine on Aug. 28, 2014; Sept. 12, 2014; and Sept. 23, 2014. If convicted, Jones faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Paris D. Davis, 29, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of distributing cocaine.
The complaint alleges that he distributed cocaine on Feb. 26 and March 23. If convicted, Davis faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Leon Patterson, 48, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The complaint alleges that on Jan. 8 he possessed a .40-caliber pistol and ammunition that he sold to an undercover officer. If convicted, Patterson faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
Patrick Maurice Little, 42, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The complaint alleges that on Jan. 15, he possessed a .380-caliber pistol and ammunition that he sold to an undercover officer. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
Byron Dewayne Kidd, 20, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The complaint alleges that on March 19, he possessed a 9mm handgun that the sold to an undercover officer. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
