6 Hurt, Madison Man Suspected In Town Of Lodi Crash
Columbia County authorities said a suspected drunken driver slammed into a bridge, causing major damage to the structure and sending six passengers to a hospital this weekend.
The Sheriff’s Office said the single-vehicle crash was reported Sunday about 1:15 a.m. in the Town of Lodi.
Deputies said the car struck the bridge and flipped over. Some of the occupants were thrown from the vehicle. None was wearing a seat belt.
Authorities said Michael Kulinski, 24, of Madison, was the driver. He had a minor ankle injury and refused treatment, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
The passengers, three males and three females, were taken to a hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available Monday morning.
Kulinski was arrested and jailed on six tentative charges of first-offense drunken driving causing injury. He has been released from jail.
