5-year-old run over, killed in restaurant parking lot

Pickup truck backing up before child was struck

MT. CALVARY, Wis. — A 5-year-old child has died after being run over by a pickup truck in the parking lot of a Mt. Calvary restaurant.

The Fond du Lac Reporter said the incident happened Friday night, in the parking lot of Maximillian’s restaurant.

Police said a 35-year-old Fond du Lac man was backing his pickup truck into a parking stall when a 5-year-old child ran behind him and was run over.

The child died at St. Agnes Hospital.

Names of the victim and truck driver were not immediately released. Authorities are still investigating.
