5 Oregon schools named to list of America’s healthiest schools

Five schools in Oregon were recently named to the 2017 list of America’s Healthiest Schools, according to a release from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

The list identifies 323 of the nation’s healthiest schools based on each school’s ability to meet criteria that include serving healthier meals and snacks, getting students moving, offering high-quality physical and health education, and empowering school leaders to become healthy role models.

Oregon schools that made the list:

Brooklyn Elementary School
Netherwood Knoll Elementary School
Oregon Middle School
Prairie View Elementary School
Rome Corners Intermediate School

Oregon’s schools are five of the 15 Wisconsin schools on the list . Other schools are in Green Bay, Chippewa Falls, Jim Falls, Fond du Lac and Waukesha.
