Madison police said they captured four of the six teens involved in a crime spree on the city’s east side Friday night.

Officers were called to the 5100 block of Hazelcrest Drive at 11:29 p.m. for a report of teenagers entering parked cars. While on the scene, officers heard another call nearby of a teen spotted looking into mailboxes.

The caller on Ridge Oak Drive told police that when he yelled at one of the teens one of them said he wanted to fight. They threw rocks at the man’s car and home, breaking a window screen, according to a report. They also stole the man’s phone.

The teens were spotted again on Anniversary Lane. Police said they had a phone, iPod and loose change in their pockets.

Two 14-year-olds and two 15-year-olds were cited for theft and violating curfew.
