2 injured in car vs. motorcycle crash in southern Dane County, officials say

TOWN OF RUTLAND, Wis. — Two people were injured Sunday night in a car vs. motorcycle crash in southern Dane County, according to a release.
Dane County sheriff’s deputies and emergency crews from Oregon and Brooklyn responded around 7:20 p.m. to Highway 14 at Highway 92 in the town of Rutland for a report of a motorcycle vs. car crash, officials said.
A Chevrolet Equinox was driving east on Highway 92 when it crossed Highway 14 in the path of a tricycle motorcycle that was going south on Highway 14, according to the release.
The 79-year-old and 73-year-old on the motorcycle were taken to UW Hospital, officials said. The 73-year-old suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 23-year-old driver of the Equinox was cited for failure to yield right of way, according to the release.
Deputies said both directions of Highway 14 were closed about 30 minutes during the crash investigation.
