On Friday night, two young girls were in the area of 7500 Welton Drive on Madison’s west side when they saw a suspicious vehicle, according to a police report.

Madison police said the vehicle was described as a dark-colored SUV and was occupied by several people.

Lt. Kelly Donahue said one occupant, a white male in his teens with dark hair and a dark shirt, yelled to the girls at 5 p.m., asking if they wanted some candy.

“The male motioned as though throwing something,” Donahue said.

The girls immediately sought safety and the vehicle has not been located.
