19-year-old points rifle at vehicle occupants

Middleton police responded early Friday morning to a witness report about a man pointing a rifle at occupants of a vehicle, according to officials.

The witness said the suspect exited a car and pointed his rifle toward the occupants of another car. Then both vehicles sped off, according to police.

Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Ethan So Yang of Madison, officials said. Police determined the issue to be related to a domestic incident, and Yang admitted pointing a rifle at the other individuals. Police said the found the rifle in Yang’s vehicle.

Yang was arrested and booked into Dane County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, disorderly conduct while armed, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and domestic related recklessly endangering safety.
