16-year-old Madison boy killed in crash with tree identified

TOWN OF BURKE, Wis. — A Madison teen was killed when his car struck a tree Sunday night, Dane County officials said.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report at 9:38 p.m. of a crash on Reiner Road south of Burke Road in the town of Burke.
A 2001 Nissan Maxima was headed south on Reiner Road when it left the east side of the roadway and struck a tree. A 16-year-old boy was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was dead when deputies arrived.
The Dane County medical examiner’s office on Monday afternoon identified the boy as Michael Andrew Neill.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
