16-year-old arrested for allegedly robbing pizza delivery driver

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver in Beloit in April, according to a release from Beloit police.
Three men in bandanas robbed a pizza delivery driver in Beloit early in the morning on April 24, according to the release.
Officers were flagged down in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue at 12:09 a.m. by the pizza delivery driver. He told police that he was walking to a home to deliver pizza when three men came up behind him. He said one of the men was armed and used the gun to strike him in the side of the head. He was slightly injured, but didn’t require medical attention.
The driver said an undetermined amount of cash was taken from his pocket, and the robbers also ran away with his pizza and soda. The pizza and soda were discarded by the thieves, and police recovered them at the scene.
The 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday morning in the 1600 block of Park Avenue for armed robbery, on a parole violation and for being a runaway from Illinois, police said.
According to the release, police are working on identifying the two other people involved.
