12-year-old boy dies in off-road vehicle accident

Police said a 12-year-old boy has died in an accident involving an off-road vehicle in Green Lake County.

Authorities said officers were called to private property in Berlin Wednesday afternoon where the boy was found dead in a utility task vehicle accident. The UTVs are wider and longer than an all-terrain vehicle.

Berlin police worked with the sheriff’s department and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to investigate the accident.

The victim was a student at All Saints Catholic School in Berlin where counselors were being made available Thursday.
